Try turning it off, then back on…
Thanks for stopping by! I’m a father of two and Kansas City area native (go Chiefs!, go Royals!). I’m a fairly decent marathoner, a mediocre ultra runner, and a really bad golfer.
I’m also a IT professional, and presently CIO for a medium enterprise conglomerate. I’m probably more of a CTO by definition, but CIO pays better (j/k). I assist a private portfolio of SME’s operating across many sectors as they navigate the increasingly complex world of IT.
I have three decades of experience in all facets of the Information Technology space. I help guide teams across infrastructure and operations, SDE, security and GRC, data analytics, project management, cloud migration, and everything in between.
I have a lot of IC credits on all of these teams as well and I am as comfortable in an Eclipse IDE as I am in a board room. My specialty is data ETL analysis and operations, both continuous for real-time systems integration, and in back office deployment for major migrations projects like ERP systems conversions.
This substack covers my thoughts on emerging trends in tech, insights from my past experiences in IT, practical solutions to IT related challenges, as well as some technical tutorials and guides from time to time. I started The Recursive, partially so that I have a creative outlet and I don’t otherwise bore people to death during dinner parties with these topics, but also as a free compliment to my consulting business.
On that note, if you are interested in consulting with me directly, please check out my rates and packages here. I am available for limited or extended engagements, and I offer fractional services on a monthly recurring rate.
